The music ministry of First Methodist has a rich history of talented musicians who have led the congregation to experience great music in praise to God. These directors, organists, pianists and soloists have encouraged volunteers to use their talents in training adults, youth and children to worship through their musical abilities.
Currently there are more than 100 in choirs and praise teams. There are almost 50 in handbells and handchimes. With over 20 volunteers who lead these groups. Annually, seven or more music programs are presented by these choirs and instrumental groups. At the heart of all of this is worship. Musical training for the children emphasizes a relationship with Jesus Christ.
